“Kyushu Fukuoka Otaku Media” is a site that disseminates information about pop culture, subculture, and “otaku culture” in Fukuoka Prefecture, Kyushu, and Yamaguchi Prefectures.
My name is Takeda and I am the administrator of this site. Since 2012, I have been assisting a voluntary organization called “Fukuoka Anime Event Planning”. I was involved in planning and managing fun events for people who like anime, manga, and games, and I wrote articles for a website called “Fukuoka Otaku News,” which was run by the group’s representative.
In 2016, our representative passed away and the operation of the organization and website ceased, but I decided to try running events and building a website from scratch again. In the past, as I worked with the representative, the number of people I worked with expanded not only within Fukuoka Prefecture but throughout Kyushu.
For this reason, we named it “Kyushu Fukuoka Otaku Media” with the aim of invigorating otaku exchange throughout Kyushu, and took the five letters from “Fukuoka Otaku News.” We hope you find this site useful. Thank you very much for your support.
