2025年6月13日(金)~6月29日(日)の期間に、福岡市中央区天神の福岡パルコで「雑・前田真宏」展が開催

The “Zatsu Maeda Masahiro” exhibition will be held at Fukuoka Parco in Tenjin, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City from Friday, June 13th to Sunday, June 29th, 2025. This is the first exhibition of animation director Maeda Masahiro (affiliated with Khara Co., Ltd.) and will be held to commemorate the publication of his art book “Zatsu Maeda Masahiro Zatsukashu” (Kobunsha), which will be released on Friday, February 28th, 2025. The exhibition will introduce carefully selected sketches from the vast amount of work he has been involved in, which will be included in the art book, in a three-dimensional manner. At the venue, the exhibition will also sell a PARCO-exclusive Special Edition “Zatsu Maeda Masahiro Zatsukashu” with a venue-exclusive cover using the key visual drawn specifically for this exhibition, as well as original goods commemorating the exhibition and collaboration products with GEEKS RULE.

In addition to the world’s first fully digital OVA work “Blue No. 6” and the TV anime “The Count of Monte Cristo,” Maeda Mahiro’s masterpieces will be on display, including the films “Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time” and “Mad Max: Furiosa,” as well as illustrations from Tomoyasu Hotei’s tour pamphlets, as well as precious sketches and drawings. This is a must-see exhibition for fans, as it fully traces the trajectory of Maeda Mahiro’s creativity.

This exhibition is a rare and unique opportunity to experience the magnificent world created by the one and only artist, Masahiro Maeda.

Maeda Masahiro Profile

Born in 1963. Animation director, animator, designer, and manga artist. Belongs to the color animation department of Khara Co., Ltd.

While studying at Tokyo Zokei University, he participated as an animator in works such as “Super Dimension Fortress Macross,” “DAICON IV OPENING ANIMATION,” and “Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind.” He began working at Gainax in earnest around 1985. He was in charge of key animation, setting, and direction for “Royal Space Force: The Wings of Honneamise,” “Aim for the Top!”, and “Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water.” He made his debut as an animation director with the music video for Tomoyasu Hotei’s “DANCING WITH THE MOONLIGHT.” In 1992, he participated in the establishment of Gonzo Ltd. He worked on the world’s first fully digital OVA “Blue Submarine No. 6” and “The Count of Monte Cristo.”

In 2012, he joined khara Inc. In the same year, he was in charge of directing, scriptwriting, image boards, storyboards, and design works for “Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo,” and was in charge of concept art and design for “Mad Max: Fury Road” released in 2015. In 2021, he was in charge of directing, concept art direction, storyboards, art settings, and key animation for “Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time.” For the anime “Kaiju No. 8,” which began airing in 2024, he was in charge of monster design and detail works. Most recently, he is in charge of design works, storyboards, and detail works for “Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuX,” which has been airing since April 2025.
