From Thursday, June 4th to Monday, June 8th, 2026, an art exhibition commemorating the 50th anniversary of the broadcast of “Brave Raideen” will be held at the GATT GLAY FUKOOKA in Tenjin, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City.

Title of work: REIDEEN THE BRAVE
The theme is “Reunion – A Fade-In After 50 Years.”
The theme is to recreate the worldview and memories of “Brave Raideen,” which aired in 1976, in three dimensions using GAAAT’s unique Metal Canvas Art (MCA), delivering an experience of “reuniting” with the work.
“Brave Raideen” is a work that had a great influence on later robot anime, with many memorable elements such as the giant robot “Raideen,” the super-ancient civilization “Mu Empire,” and the “fade-in” boarding animation. Its unique worldview, which fuses mystique and mechanical design, continues to be supported by many creators and fans even today.
In recent years, classic anime from the Showa and Heisei eras have been gaining renewed appreciation among younger generations and overseas fans through video streaming and social media. Meanwhile, in the anime IP market, interest is expanding beyond just “viewing” to include experiential value such as “ownership,” “spatial presentation,” and “collection.”
GAAAT has previously produced Metal Canvas Art (MCA) using domestic and international IPs such as “Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex,” “Macross,” “PAC-MAN,” and “ACE COMBAT (TM),” re-editing them as an “experience of displaying” IP.
In 2026, marking 50 years since its broadcast, this exhibition reinterprets the mythological qualities, aesthetic beauty, and profound worldview of “Brave Raideen” as contemporary art expressions. It re-presents the memories of the two-dimensional images as art pieces possessing texture, depth, and presence, and will be held as an exhibition and sale that transcends the anime, art, and collectible markets.
